Sagaree (they/she)

is a poet, writer, researcher, and queer from the Bay. Their writing has been featured in Autostraddle, The Margins, them. magazine, and The Offing, where they also served as Micro Editor. They have performed or spoken at the Lincoln Center, the Kearny Street Workshop arts festival APAture, the Asian Art Museum, and the Greek Theater. Their poetry collection with Arati Warrier, Longing and Other Heirlooms, was the winner of the Eggtooth Editions Chapbook Contest, and their book SHRINES is out from Game Over Books now. Sagaree is obsessed with words, fire, bodies, reproductive justice, oceans, queer family, abolition, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She is class and caste privileged and tweets at @sagareej.
